Anna is an assassin who was discovered by Moody in the aftermath of slaughter in Da Nang, where she killed four men who had kidnapped her and reared by him. They traveled the world for years, working on high-profile projects before settling in England, where she operates a rare-book store and he lives in a manor house. Rembrandt initially appears in her store when he enters under the guise of purchasing a gift.
Anna and Moody assassinate a Romanian mafia lord in the current day by kidnapping his son and using him as bait. Anna and Moody celebrate his birthday together, and he provides her insight into a person he’s researching. Moody and anyone Anna contacted for information on the person Moody was looking for were brutally murdered in the days that followed. Anna seeks vengeance after seeing her contacts slain and her shop is invaded by assassins.
Anna and Moody assassinate a Romanian mafia lord in the current day by kidnapping his son and using him as bait. Anna and Moody celebrate his birthday together, and he provides her insight into a person he’s researching. Moody and everybody Anna approached for information on the person Moody was looking for who was brutally murdered in the days that followed. After her contacts are slain and her shop is besieged by assassins, Anna wants retribution. She believes Edward Hayes, an assassination target from Moody’s time in Vietnam, was linked to his death and the person Moody was looking for. She discovers that the person Moody was looking for was Edward Hayes’ son while she is there. He is mentally challenged, yet he is well cared for in a facility where a wealthy donor contributes to his care. Anna also learns about Edward Hayes’ business partner, Vohl, who took over the firm when Hayes died. She arranges a meeting with Vohl, but his lawyer, Duquet, assassinates him in order to prevent Vohl from disclosing any information to Anna. After a chase, Anna strikes Duquet and is apprehended. Duquet torments her in order to figure out why she is pursuing Edward’s son.
Rembrandt pays Anna a visit in her cell and tells her that he, like Duquet, works for the same person, but that his techniques are different and that he was not involved in the library shooting. The group goes to Duquet’s cell after she left and tries to hang her, but she defeats them and escapes. Rembrandt attributes her escape to Duquet and his hard techniques.
Rembrandt engages in a street fight with local thugs hired by Duquet after a dinner date with Anna but survives. In the meantime, Anna assassinates Duquet. When Rembrandt arrives, he discovers Duquet has been hanged. Unaware of Anna’s presence, she ambushes him and fights him, but they eventually decide to have sex. Anna is shot by one of Duquet’s men while going down the street but is rescued by Moody. Moody tells her that he pretended to die by dressing up as himself and shooting his assailant in the face so that he could not be identified.
Anna sees her mother beheaded and her father and sisters shot by a local gang in a flashback. Anna is apprehended and taken to the gang’s base, which was shown at the start of the movie. While young Anna watches and memorizes the instructions, the gang’s leader assembles one of two disassembled handguns on a table. The mob boss exits the room for a brief moment.
Anna kills the gang after building the second pistol when he returns.
Rembrandt receives a text message from Anna, and the film returns to him. He finds Anna at the coordinates indicated in the text message. Two shots are fired as they aim their rifles at each other, and Anna is seen fleeing the scene.
